Mark,

That is too bad you can't make it. Truly memorable. A nice DVD will be made available to your Sailor after graduation. I got one from my boy without knowing it was coming but I think he either had to request/order it, or it was provided. Its actually very nicely done. Been a year and a half since my boy's PIR, but I still get it out every now and again to watch and the pride comes back just like the day of the event!  =)

Otherwise, you may be able to convince your Sailor to get a copy from a shipmate that has a family member filming it and mail you one.

Mark,I am sorry about that I will not be able to attend the graduation, but also I think my son is not graduating then, but at a later date. I think it would be nice if the school would have a place where one could see the graduations on video by dates.

Jean Claude, thanks for pointing out the skype and smartphone,we do have skype but not the other. I dont think one is supposed to use their last names,at least thats what I've been told due to security. I also think he might be in a different class if he is graduating the 8th. Ill ask him though if he knows your son, next time I hear from him. Everyone writes my name like that,so no need to apologize for you keyboard :)

I too have a daughter currently in A-School for Corpsman at Great Lakes. I believe grad is set for March 8th. If anyone attending could post up a video, long or short, it would mean the world to me!!

Greg, thank you for telling me,but somehow I never got through when I applied there,it would always say that membership was pending, and I would get notice in an email, when I was accepted, but it never came. I tried for months ever since he went to boot camp in september. Thats why I applied at Navydads and was so thrilled to be accepted finally. But maybe I can try again now and see what happens. You are all so helpful.

Daniel, thank you for the idea,I dont know if there are any parents of Sailors in corpsman school currently in this group, seems like the parents here have already gone through that, and have gotten further along the path. But may be I can get my son to find out from his mates if any of their parents will be there, and then we could take it from there, would be absolutely Great to have something like pictures or even a video :)
