I really think they aren't getting CODS right now where they are.  Not sure where all our care packages are.  If they wait long enough, my son will need a forklift.

My husband work in the hangar bay. I got to talk to him yesterday and i asked him did he need anything and he said like macaroni cups and more snacks. I went to Sams Club a couple of weeks ago and bought him a lot of stuff in bulk and after I spent all my time packing and squeezing stuff into the three priority mail boxes that the post office provided for free, it was forty dollars to ship them. When I talked to him last night he informed me that I could have used my own box. I sent the boxes off on July 22nd and he still hadn't gotten his yet. I sent baby powder, cans of febreeze, Clorox wipes, snack packs of cookies and crackers, baby powder, chips, macaroni cups and ramen noodle cups. He told me about cake in a jar so I'm going to try and send him one for his birthday. A lot of them have started playing on the Rugby team. They played Greece when they last ported but they lost. I heard they won't port somewhere until the end of August but they are in the 6th fleet and they are now 9 hours ahead of Central time. I hear from my husband everyday, knock on wood. It's usually between 12-6 in the morning here

Elvie,

They like air fresheners to hang on their bunks.

We got a call yesterday. He said they are working 18 hour days if the planes are flying. And that it's HOT. Also FYI if you're putting together a package, the ship store does not sell cheap pens, the only have the expensive ones. It was good to hear his vioce

Hi Elvie,  It took my boxes one day shy of being two weeks to get there.  One of the boxes didn't make it.  I have another one that SHOULD be delivered tomorrow.  My son said they don't always get CODs in, so that will be a delay and they are in a delicate location right now, so it may take longer even yet.
