Hello Group! I have been off the site for quite awhile. As I read these comments, I flash back 3 years to my son being in bootcamp and it being really hard. Now, he is a CTI2 stationed in Augusta, GA and loving the Navy. He plans to re-up.

John and Lisa, My daughter is at ship 12 DIV 089 PIR Feb 8 and will be goling to Pensocola for CTM.  So they will be training together.  I have had one phone call and several letters.  The phone calls are up to the RDC and the letters are up to your son.  They can write on Sundays or Holidays.

Our son is in Boot right now. PIR Feb 8. Going to Pensacola for CTM.  Right now we are anxiously waiting letters and a call. Mom is an emotional wreck.  Hope to lean on many here for info and support.

It was great to have our Sailor home for a week. A school graduation soon, and then the start of C.

I have a question, Todd. And it's for me (not my sailor). At C school, would a CTT ever have opportunities to switch to CTI? I read about that somewhere while researching last year. Those two rates were my sailors' top choices. thanks

So Chance got home Friday, and left today. CTI school is going good, it sounds like. I know there's random Arabic scribbled around the house...fair winds and following seas to our son and all his CT family.

If you Dads with sailors at RTC or A/C school have any questions ask away!

We were so lucky to have our Sailor home for Christmas.  It was a great 4 days but it went so fast.  It didn't help that she was sick on the couch all day yesterday with the flu.  I guess it was better to have her home sick where we could take care of her instead of at the base.  Blessings to all of our Sailors and their Navy Dads this holiday season.

Denise, My daughter left on Dec 10th for great lakes, her PIR is 02/08/13 and her rate is CTM, after that she leaves for A school in FL. Maybe my daughter and your son will be in A school together

Welcome, Paul. I agree, Navy Dads has been so helpful to me and my family. We knew very little about the Navy going into this, so having something like this available is such a blessing.

Hi, my daughter is currently in boot camp and her PIR is in the begining of Feb.  Then she goes to A school for 16 weeks for CTM.  Love Navy Dads, I am being educated just like my daughter. lol.
