Not sure what happened to my post the first time. I tried posting from my phone and the whole thing was dropped... Oh well. Here it goes again.

My son leaves for RTC Great Lakes on Wednesday 1/22 after being in the Delayed Entry Program for a couple of months. He's pretty excited and ready to go. Mom and I are very proud of him but of course sad to have one of our kids leave home. A bitter sweet moment, for sure.

Our recruiter, a Chief Petty Officer, has been the best at preparing all of us for Navy life. The other recruiter in the office, a Petty Officer First Class, has been extremely helpful as well.

We all feel that the Navy and Aaron's AM rate is a perfect fit for him. He spent a lot of time researching colleges, vocations and the military. We all look forward to this next step and adventure.
