Navy Dads

No letter? It’s been 4 solid weeks. Anyone else?

My name is Daniel and my girlfriend left to RTC 4 solid weeks ago. She always said I’ll write you and that she wanted tons of letters from me. She wrote my address done in her address book and I’m confused as to why I haven’t received a letter? I can’t send her mine till I have a address and her family has the form letter ( no way to contact them) anyone have any advice or similar problems with their recruits? Any info would be appreciated!!!

They are very busy with the ONLY time available to write is for a few hours on Sunday afternoons....with inspections and all they have to learn most recruits spend that time studying.  If you don't have her address and no way to get it from her family you're just going to have deal with it.

Your right. I seen her recruit the other day and asked him a few questions about it and he basically told me that she is very very busy. It’s possible that if she wrote her addresses in something too big that they took it away basically. She may not be writing anyone. But let me ask you this. Shouldn’t they have gotten their calls by now?

Well actually Daniel, they are only guaranteed two calls, the I'm here call and I'm a sailor call. Everything else is a bonus. But, that's pretty rare if they don't get to make more calls than that. You said you have no way to contact her mom and dad? That's unfortunate. Maybe one of her calls will be to you.

Hang in there...

Jim

Well I did find out her mom got letters. So I’m not sure why she hasn’t sent one to me. Either way I feel I have to have faith hat everything is fine. I don’t know if she got her second phone call yet. Hopefully she decides to call me? Thank you for the advice.

They do say that no news is good news.
