Liberty after PIR
My son is due to graduate on May 4th. After the sailors graduate I assume that they will be given liberty for a few hours. Since this is a Friday will they ship him out on Monday? Will they also give him liberty on Saturday and Sunday which we should stay for?

unless his A-school is in Great Lakes, odds are he will ship on Saturday

My son graduated on 4/13 and he shipped out on sunday out of Midway Airport...It changes all the time and you cannot plan on anything except having Friday Liberty until about 2000 hrs....They go to the airport (what ever airport it will be) at 0200 and have to wait there until their flight....My son flew out at 1745 and we stayed at the airport until about 1400 hours and we had to get to Ohare to catch our flight home... Anything past the Friday Liberty is a gift, but don't count on it....I just made arrangements to stay in Chicago until Sunday night just in case....It worked out good for me....LOL

After Liberty, which gate should my new Sailor be dropped off at? I don't want to have to drive around to find the right gate as I don't want to make him late from his first Liberty.
