until PIR! We were able to talk to J for a long time on Thanksgiving (which was the thing I was looking forward to the most). For any former athletes out there, he has his 2nd wind and he says he's 100% fine, misses us but fine. He sounded older and more mature. Like others here, it's been tough since he left. I've been his dad, coach, friend, mentor, prison warden, judge, jury and executioner for the last 18 years. I'm glad he's getting to have some say so in his own future. We always taught him to not let dreams be overshadowed by the distractions...I think he heard us. Thank you all for your stories here. It's making it easier everyday to let him go do his thing. Either that or misery really does love company
