The Blue Angels are the U.S. Navy's flight demonstration squadron and the oldest flying aerobatic team, first performing in 1946. They currently fly the F/A-18 Hornet and perform more than 70 shows at 34 locations throughout the U.S. each year. An estimated 11 million spectators view the Blue Angels each year at air shows and they have been seen by more than 427 million spectators worldwide since 1946.
