Fear

My biggest fear is that I'll try to live vicariously through my son. I always wanted to be a Marine Officer, but didn't do it. I aS of that age at a time when I was too opposed to the war we were fighting to join up. I worked at the Naval Hospital in Bethesda. I loved and supported our men, but hated the war. I think this will be one of the best and most important things my son will ever do. How's that sound fro an old lefty?

  • Steve, live vicariously through your son. Give him the knowledge and experiences that only someone who have walked in boots can. What i do with my daughter is make sure that she understands the options presented to her. But when it comes down to it, give way. Allow her to do what I raised her to do. Make sound decissions. OOH RAH!!!
