I just learned from my son's recruiting officer that he has been assigned to a 900 division at RTC. My sonm has had no formal musical training has never engaged in precision drill training nor has he been in ROTC. Can someone give me information on what qualities might have contributed to this assignment?

Thank you for the information, Gary. Apparently Joe has previously hidden talents and now I'm more eager than ever to attend his graduation.

During "P Week," you'll be asked if you have any experience (or interest) in drill, musical instruments, or singing. If so, you may be assigned to a "900 Division." These special recruits get to do pretty much everything the other recruits in boot camp get to do during their nine weeks, but also practice to put on shows at events such as parades, and recruit graduation ceremonies.
