What is the average length of A School? Does it depend on what field your recruit has chosen? My son was initially told his A School will be 5 weeks long and now they are saying it is 19 weeks.

Thanks Jim, I'll research this more. I'm new to the whole Navy way of life. My 19 year old son being in boot camp is still hard to believe sometimes. I am so proud of him...and yet so concerned....
