Entering Great Lakes without a Car Pass

Hi:

If I do not have the password to get my car pass, but my name is on the list for a PIR, can I park at the Metra Station and walk onto the base?  How long of a walk will it be from the train station to the location of the ceremony?  Will anybody at Metra care that I parked at the train station?

    We were able to drive in without a pass, BUT our car was searched pretty thoroughly.

    It only took an extra 5 minutes, might be faster than the walk.

    As far as the password, either I or my wife put the form letter away for safekeeping, and now we don't know where it is.  Neither of us remembers who did it or where it was put, so I'll take the blame.  ;-)

       Yes...you can park at the train station (right across from the gate). It is a 5 minute walk to the hall. As long as you pay the parking fee, you will have no issue. Your password should be on the last page of your form letter to download the gate pass.
