We've had Marines and an airforce now our boy Joe has gone off to Navy bootcamp. He left on March 13th and we got his box already. I'm having a hard time with the seperation and trying to learn the Navy. Seems like it will be hard to hear and get to see our Joe compared to Marine bootcamp. The rules are very different reguarding, letters only, no packages and time after Graduation for the family. The Marines get leave and Navy is really limiting till we get to spend quality time...gonna be months after A school I guess. Can anyone explain why the Navy limits family so much?

  • Lots of parents visit their sailors during A-school.  Best answer I have to your question is not going to satisfy or please you...because that is the way it is.  You can accept that or not, but you can't change it so best advice is to adapt as best you can.
