Very glad for the support from the guys so far. Yes I am soo proud of my son. Ever since he was a little guy he always liked military stuff. He thought about dropping out of college to enlist in the marines. We talked him out of that and he thought that was the best decision. Now he is in the Navy and I am glad and proud. Would have gone myself so some of this is definitely vicarious.
Chris is on the Vella Gulf and I have not been able to skype with him since 1st week of Feb. Said that they would be out of touch for 3.5 weeks. Hard to get used to that stuff. You know what I mean when you say, "Hey he is MY son!" and then wonder. But I trust the government.I don like having access to some experienced dads.
