We were wondering if it is customary to bring a gift to our sailor for his graduation, we have no military background and were not sure or not. If so what would be appropriate.

My husband is retired Navy, and he loves his G shock for his civilian job! I got him the solar one.
Another suggestion is a good multi-tool or a small maglight with the red lens option. Remember, they cannot take these things back to RTC if flying out the next day. They can wear a new watch back.

Keep it small. When he moves to A school, he'll want to travel light. The "G" shock watch is real popular among the fleet. I would also recommend a black one.
