"I'm a Sailor" Call?

Can the "I'm a sailor" call come at anytime...or is there a usual time they are allowed to call? I think my boy had Battle Stations yesterday. I've not heard anything yet and was just curious. Proud papa getting anxious!

    Thanks all! Just returned from PIR. Wonderful times. Ceremony was so awesome..just as many of you have described. Spent friday and saturday with our sailor. Now on to A school. Thanks to all for your comments and support. Very proud papa here!

    Ours came around 7pm, don't know if that is typical though.

    Very true indeed. Seems like yesterday he was five years old and catching blue gills on his "snoopy" pole. They sure grow up fast. I'd better get with it! Thanks!
