I would like to take a moment to say "THANK YOU" to the creators / admin's for creating this site & helping all of us DAD'S that are members past, future & present. Not only with our ?'s but just the general peace of mind & knowledge that we all get from the wealth of info and support from this site & one another. E.A.P. this is the kind of things that keep Me and the other admins coming back here and passing along what info we have . Besides the fact that all of you members that keep us on our toes and up to date on the comings and goings of your sailors it makes me check on my son and keep up with his progress and get just as excited as new parents to the navy do.
Just when I think that I have gotten to the point that not other new member could ask the same old questions again, I still find that the answers we give out to the new parents set them at ease and make things like their child being gone from home for the first time with no contact at all a short time. I know 8 weeks seems like forever when you cannot contact your sailor but when that 8 weeks is over and you see what strides your sailor has made and grown into the adult that you always wanted makes this all a pleasure for me.

it's comments like that that "keep us in the game"!! It's a lot of work at times, but if we can help someone through the Navy journey and answer some questions and ease a worrisome mind it's all worthwhile!!!
