Now I just wanted to throw this out there for those folks who don't know may get this. You will probably scratch your heads and have that "huh" look, when you receive in the mail a Jury Duty Summons Notification and/or a Selective Service System Registration Status Form letter addressed to your Sailor(s) who is currently serving.
Obviously, the national database is this screwed up and I'm sure it's being worked on- ahem hopefully...
On the Jury Duty Summons Notification form there's a section that you can fill-out on the form on behalf of your Sailor(s) and it's pretty self-explanatory what and how to fill this portion out.
Unfortunately, on the Selective Service System Registration Status Form, you cannot but, there's a shed of light. You can text/email the info to your Sailor(s) and have them do this online at www.sss.gov or register by phone 1-800-730-9211. A personalized PIN for your Sailor(s) is provided on the letter.
Happy Trails!

I can top this...
I received my DRAFT NOTICE while I was in Boot Camp! My mom forwarded it to me, so I showed it to the guys in my Company and asked my Company Commander permission to climb the wall and go to the Marine Corps Boot Camp next door (back then, USMC and Navy Boot Camps were next door to each other in San Diego).
Ah, the good ol' days... they tore it all down for condos. My grandpa stood on the same grinder (parade grounds) at RTC San Diego in 1929 and my two older brothers who went in before me. Now it's a condo, too.
Life marches on (whether we want it to or not!)
