looking for advice

My son finished boot camp in November, is at THU, and is in jeapardy of having a medical discharge because of a bone spur in his ankle that requires surgery.  He is scheduled to go to nuke school, and wants a career in the Navy.  He would be willing to sign on for additional years up front, and we would be willing to pay for the costs of the surgery, if the cost was an issue to the Navy.  Does anyone have any recommendations for who we can contact to advocate for our son?  He has a tremendous commitment to serve.  Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.
