MM Submarine School

My Son Leaves Feb 2 for basic. He was signed up for Nuke School in Goose creek. His cousin started Nuke school last July but has since washed out and changed his job. Jerry has decided if Nick could not make it he was not going to be able too either. He has now changed to MM submarine. Does any one have a guess about where he will sent for training after his Pir. Thanks

  • Move it up the chain of command: this was in regard to something else, but are words from a member that was a recruiter for 13 years:

IF the recruiter in charge does not handle it, you need to ask for the Zone Supervisor, if nothing happens there, the next one you should ask and speak to is the Assistant Chief Recruiter, then the Chief Recruiter. IF all that fails, then my next step would be to contact the Commanding Officer. I would wait no more than 1-2 days between contacts (ZS, ACR, CR).I can tell you that the last thing a recruiter wants (or needs) is negative attention. If for some reason you have a hard time locating the Commanding Officer's contact information, you should be able to type in your area and "navy recruiting" and should find the homepage for the NRD you are in.

That Sir is part of the problem, he is working with recruiter number 5.  Recruiter Number 1 was the one that signed up our nephew up. He just showed up one day, my wife at that time was not happy with Jerrys choice to join the military, did not invite him into our home and I believe it offeneded him and was never heard from again. Yes that was our fault I know. #2 the one that lost his diploma and stuff was named "Recruiter of the Year" was promoted and transferred. OK I understand that. #3 according to #4 Was discharged on section 8 and was in the nuthouse, his words not mine! #4 was the one that actually got him into meps and signed up, handed him off to #5 shortly after meps for what reason I do not know.  # 5 Mr. excuses as I call him can rarely be contacted always has an excuse for everything looses more phones than humanly possible is always in no phone service areas. We live in very rural Arkansas closest recruiting office is 50 miles away in Conway next closest is Little Rock 70 miles away. I think I will  wait until Jerry is at great lakes then report this whole ordeal, that way he is satisfied and so am I.
