Jen is in 07 078, I've talked to her once on 1-14 -12 She was not happy which I expected She was concerned about trying to memorize something. Having been through it myself (many years ago) I expected as much. But I feel the need to know more. If your daughter is in the same group let me know. If we put our heads together it might help.

She'll succeed. She has shipmates who have a shared interest in her success.
The biggest hurdles at Great Lakes are weaning the recruits from home and giving them the confidence to succeed. Not one recruit is tasked with doing anything that is an impossible goal...each evolution is planned so as to build on the success of the prior one....I can guarantee that if told what they as fresh recruits would be tasked to do at Battle Stations just 7 short weeks in, that about 95% would say they could not do it....but they do!
My ex was a second degree black belt and had a saying that she lived and taught as she taught martial arts: "the fear of failure is the death of success". What the recruits need to do, and they do it at different rates, is rid themselves of that fear- then they can soar!!!
Thanks Paul, I,m sure you are right just ned to hear it I guess
About 4400 on this site have been though this Dean with our kids...any help or guidance feel free to ask...our kids can and DO much more than they think they can. They will succeed...the issue is in teaching them the confidence to master what they need to know -- and the RDCs at RTC do that pretty well!!!
