well my son got to call and we talked for 20 min, last time he called it was 4 min so i don't count that. He is sick but still fit for duty and they have him on 5 meds. to keep him that way. he did inform me that not sure when flying to A-school in Texas (he is HM) he has been told same day, next day or week after. so today i booked hotel to Sunday and fly back on Sunday so i guess if he flies out Friday i will sight see around Chicago. He said things are going well and he is doing good but a few guys in his div seems to mess things up for the rest of them. he already has a nickname because he is silent when he walks and people can not hear him and then he will say something and scares the crap out of them so he is called "Whispers". I am so relieved and can rest easy now knowing he is taking to boot camp very well and looking forward to seeing him in a month. Crazy thing is his box he sent home is lost and we never got it so calling FEDEX again and see what we could do. hope to get pictures soon in a few weeks. if any new dads are reading this i know what you are going through its a very trying time so make sure that phone is charged and it took about 3.5 weeks to get the first real phone call.
