Well I got a call from my son today. He sounded home sick but seems to be enjoying it. He said they get beat daily LOL but he knows it's just to get them in shape and to prepare them for their future. He says there is a lot of yelling and cursing but he laughs since that's my sisters house already LOL. He was a little upset that he didn't make his 1st mile attempt. He said he has 2 more tries or is out of the Navy. He missed it by 8 seconds. My husband and I just told him that he is in better condition now compared to when he first ran it and just to keep working hard and he will do it. Told him we loved him and said we had to go since we both were at work when we got the call. Thank god for conference calling :)
He is in Ship 11 Division 317. I do wish him and the rest of our kids good luck in accomplishing boot camp.

LOL that's funny. He sounded like he was away at camp. He didn't sound like "oh no what did I get myself into", he just said he missed everyone from home and the scenery since we are from Hawaii. It's really his first time being off the islands. He says he has a good RDC (I think that's what they are call) who is very helpful. He says his RDC takes the time to help another recruit who can't speak English to good so that he doesn't get teased from others. So I'm very happy and glad he is enjoying himself :)
