My SRs PIR date is on Wednesday July 3rd instead of Friday because of the 4th holiday. My question is A school after PIR. Will they have more Liberty time before A school, or will that be moved forward also?

They will have Liberty through out the weekend including Thursday. There is also a huge celebration on 7/3/14 and 7/4/14 right on base. see this facebook link https://www.facebook.com/GreatLakes4thofJuly fun for the whole family
Pretty cool they will graduate during Independence Day holidays! My son is in ship 02 Div 934. I am gonna be there as long as they have Liberty leave. Hope to meet you at the meet&greet!
Our son also graduates on the 3rd of July we will fly up on the 2nd. He will be attending A school at GL so hopefully we will be able to be with him for the next few days due to the holiday. We were able to talk to him this past Saturday and he told us they had made him R-POC of his division that was some exciting news. We are very proud of him and he seems to be a different person already. We know that he made the right choice by joining the Navy and will benefit from it. We will also attend the meet and greet on the 2nd sounds fun.
That is great news if it holds up! Just trying to plan travel arrangements. I want to be there for any spare minute he has. I also wrote him today to tell him if anyone doesn't have family or friends there, bring them along!

Great question!! My son Bryson will also graduate that day. Would be nice to have him a little longer, maybe even take in a ball game!!
