Congrats! know your proud. We planned on being there this weekend too, our SR was afflicted with Stress fractures and is in RCU for a couple of weeks. He was on Ship 9, Div 4.
We are checked in, got a rental car, and slept wonderfully. We are excited to meet all the parents at the Meet and Greet at the Sun Dance Saloon today. If you dont know about this, stand-by for more details.
My daughter finally called...i was thinking she didn't pass Battle Stations. I just heard a horror story from my brother, a couple of years ago his daughter failed battle stations, and they showed up for graduation...and well long story, she was held back a week, but still got to visit with her parents...its imperative to know so this doesn't happen to you.
mind you, that according to new RTC policy, ONLY the 4 listed on the sailors list are getting into the Drill Hall for PIR....no extra guests are being allowed in
My Son Matt was on Ship 9 Div 4, however developed stress fractures and was moved to Ship 4, Div 2341. He says he is doing very well, was upgraded to Stage 3, what ever that means.. but apparently he is doing some training and may get moved back to his old ship.. We are hoping.. He really enjoyed his ship and was an RPO Weapons Officer ( he's a shooter ) and I knew he loved being in charge of weapons for the guys taking watch. We are just hoping he will get to catch up with his Division and still do his PIR on 11/16/12.
Post comments if your SR is graduating this day. So far we have had 5 phone calls, 3 of which we missed (arrgh!) and the last phone call, we spoke for what seemed like 5 mins. We have received her BOX, and 3 letters and she is now in her 5th week. I hate not knowing what she is going through, so I research and find of myself. Looks like Battle Stations are around the corner. Where is everyone staying while attending PIR?

Thanks Paul.. That's what we are hoping for.
must be a recovery stage, but do not know more....assuming it means an increased level of activity, rehab and training.....
