It's great to hear the calls coming in. Hopefully we will get one soon. Being retired from the navy is different on the other side waiting on your son to go thru. It's a good and proud feeling We will be there at the meet and greet. See you all there
Got the "I am a sailor" call this afternoon. He sounds great and can't wait for prep to get started. Who all is going to Sarge's meet and greet? I will be there.
Here is more information that might be helpful to parents.
My son had told me he boards a Navy bus at 0100 (1 AM) Saturday to be taken to the airport.
He doesn't know which airport yet.
He said ALL new Sailors going to that airport will board the 0100 bus. No matter WHAT time their flight departs. Simply because the Navy wants to make only one bus trip to an airport.
Makes sense.
So a Sailor might be catching a flight right away, or might be waiting many hours.

Hello all.
I just got the call !!!!
Division 104 has completed Battle Stations 21 !
Good news for all in the sense that its begining to happen.
My son told me they are having four divisions at a time doing Battle Stations.
He confirmed that nothing is done they are not already prepared for.
And he is so happy and proud to have received his Navy Cap and is now a Sailor in the US Navy.
Now counting the days until the PIR.
