We are on our way. Haven't received the Sailor call yet, but we have full faith and confidence that Tim will call soon. We can't wait to see Tim at his PIR.

The Castiglione family is proud to welcome the Clark family to the US Navy family. I know exactly what you're experiencing now Dany. We've all been through it. Read my blog and tell me how close to home it hits. You want to run back and hold your sailor but you also realize the mountain he's climbed as a man and a shipmate. I have no doubt Tim will continue to make the Clark family proud as he takes his next career steps forward. Travel safely home and enjoy the memories of this special weekend.

Well, this has been a truely incredible weekend. We just droped Tim back off at RTC for the final time for this liberty weekend. My emotions are running way ahead of my brain at this point. Mainly, I am so very proud of Tim and his fellow shipmates for their accomplishment in completing basic training. We have lots of memories and lots of pictures. We'll write more and post pics in the weeks to come.
To Tim and all of your shipmates, Bravo Zulu. You have chosen to become part of a long and storied tradition of excellence; we look forward to the chapters you will write. May the wind always be in your sails and God's face shine upon your journey.

Little fart didn't call. But that's not necissarily a bad thing. We learned yesterday that another Dan, one of his good buds and a former Marine who helped lead Tim towards this decision, couldn't make the PIR. I suspect he got the Sailor call. That would be typical of Tim, he would figure we were on our way anyway and would want Dan to know. I'll find out for sure tomorrow when I talk to Tim. If that is the case, I'm proud of him for reaching back out to a good friend and mentor.
