PIR on 9-11

We got our form letter today and it says that our sons PIR date is 9/11/2015, so being excited that I got some information I posted on Facebook in the Navy dads page and a comment came across that the PIR date may change because of it being 9-11. Anyone else have any experience with this type of issue? I have read all the post that says get your hotel ASAP but now I am a little worried about a possible date change.

    I hope they do have PIR on 9/11. I graduated Navy bootcamp 1 week before 9/11. I believe it would be an honor to graduate on that date just to know that date represents so much to our country and your Career started on that day. Good luck shipmate.

    My son's date is 9/11 also and my wife is on Navymoms.com and nobody has told her that could be an issue.  We have arranged travel already too.

    PIR changes for a very selected few holidays...should NOT be an issue for that date
