Hoping to get some advice. While at boot camp the Navy doctors found a fungus on my son's foot. They told him it was pretty bad and he could even be sent home as a result. He got upset about the possibility of being sent home and ended up giving himself some kind of anxiety attack. He is being sent home next week. He was told he needs to see a doctor for his foot but also needs a waiver from a doctor that he doesnt have anxiety issues. He was told he can come back but it could take up to a year. I was able to speak to him but only a few minutes. He's pretty upset obviously because he doesn't want to come home and wait a year. I contacted his recruiter but he said he has no info and probably can't get any. Just wondering if anyone has ever been thru something like this or has any advice on what to do next. Thank you

  • Thank u guys. He's definitely coming home. In the few minutes I spoke to him he did say he would be allowed back but not sure what code he will be getting. Thanks for the HIPPA tip. Trying to help him stay positive but he's pretty upset. Guess nothing can be done till he comes home.
