Good evening all. My son just finished his third week of boot camp and said he is holding out for a position that he wants. Is he referring to the recruit leadership roles? If so, it would seem that the best option would be to accept what is offered. Does anyone have advice that I can pass on to him?

My son was assigned an LR sounded good on the phone. We are looking forward to PIR on March 8th. Thanks for your comments.

My son held several LRs and lost one due to a nose bleed because he was not hydrated enough so he was yanked off one. He eventually had the opportunity to take up another one and held on to it.
Tell him to keep hydrated most especially on the PFA's and Jim is right on!
