My son shipped out on January 7, 2015 and is in SHIP 03 DIV 102. He enlisted as an Undesignated Seaman under the S-PACT program.
I really would have preferred him to have "waited" to have picked an actual rating/job, but he was just wanting to join and start BC and of course was told this was a good option as he would have the opportunity to get a "feel" for something and then be able to go that route. I am just hoping that him choosing the S-PACT program will be a good experience for him and that he and others who joined this program will truly be given the opportunity to choose a specific rating.
