This is where my son is. He has been at bc for a week and a half. We received his box of stuff and the form letter. Scheduled PIR is Sep 28th. Anyone else have someone on this ship feel free to chime in. It's amazing to think of the things they are doing at bc. I would love to be a fly on the wall and see it all. We've already made plans for our trip to Chicago and are anxiously awaiting for that date to come. My wife and I both work for the school district, so I imagine once school starts time will go by faster. Anyway, hope to hear from others who have someone on this ship or the same PIR date.

I just got my phone call from Brady, not a very long call. I was so nice to hear from him. I had missed his call the last time. Brady was so upbeat and said they were doing battle stations this Sunday. He also saw his friend he graduated H.S. with in the mess hall. His friend got there on Sept 12th and he got a real chuckle out of seeing him with no hair......One more week and we are off to Chicago for graduation, can't wait.
My son is also in the same Division.. I received a phone call from him while at work. He informed me that they have Battle Stations in 2 days. I could tell he was little scared of it so, I pumped him up. Looking forward to the call that he passed battle stations. I will be flying in from Seattle to Midway on Thursday and back out on Friday to go to work.
My son is also Ship 13 division 312 PIR dat Sept 28th.... We live in Wa state and will be attending graduation as well. My wife is also a high school teacher and has already requested time off. The letters home have been a hoot and I can't wait to see him after all he has been sharing with us. I wish he had more time after graduation, but he heads out to S.C. Nuke school early the next morning. So we will have the make the most of the 8hrs or so allowed. I agree 100% about wishing we could be a fly on the wall, that would make my day or year for that matter....My son's best friend just left today for Chicago and just landed and is now waiting for the tram to take him to Great Lakes. Then off to S.C. for him as well. I have been reading him all of my son's letters, so he has some idea of what to expect. A great life is ahead for all of them.
Sorry you missed the call! FYI you can call back the pay phone. I kept dropping the call when I was trying to join calls with my wife, but we could call him back as long as he was there.

Zac was in the infirmary recovering from wisdom teeth extractions. He didn't get a chance to call home. My wife was pretty sad. She's been carrying her phone around everywhere on Sunday
