Ship 14 Div 097

Received our first letters from our recruit today. Very excited and of course anxious for more info. He sounds like he's grown alot in a short time. All is well. Would love to here from friends and family in our son's group.

  • Yes, Max has been lucky and seems to be having a very good experience at boot camp. He was made Master at Arms for his division and has made some strides in self evaluation. It has all been very good for him so far and we, of course, are very proud. Not all the chatter on Facebook from other parents has been as positive, so we also feel very blessed. Hope it all continues.

Yes, we plan to attend PIR and Sarge's Meet & Greet. Sounds like a really valuable source of info, as well as, a great chance to meet other Navy families.

Thanks again for your efforts on this site. It too has been invaluable.
  • Got first call home. Max Neumueller 14/97 CTM

Everything is going really well. He loves it.  He did not need to get his wisdom teeth out, they are fused to his jaw! He said they have really tough RDCs and the other Divs are tell theirs that they really have their shit together! They are in what he called a compressed division. He had no idea what a push division was. Basically they are doing boot in about 6 1/2 weeks. They start weapons training next week. Lastly, he said he is getting our letters 2-4 days from the post date. It was so good to hear his voice. He sounds great and is very happy!
