The official letter we received after week 2 said our son would be allowed only 3 guests for the 3/8 PIR. In checking the graduation schedule on the website, it says only 10 divisions are graduating and 4 guests per recruit are allowed. The problem is that our son listed only 3 guests and would like to have his 2 siblings, his mom and me attend. Anyone have info that clarifies this?

  • Bill my SR told me that they can change it! Just like you said only 3 of us can go the first letter! But when he called us on Feb 03, he said his chief was changing it to 4 guest becouse there is only 10 div.! He said daddy I will go up there and add my other sister so she can go!! So that put a smile on all of our faces!!

  • Hi Sean and JD my son is Div 106 PIR 3/8.

  • Our son Christopher is also in 916 and is loving his time at RTC. Anyone else from the Seattle area and will be at graduation 3.8.13?

  • directly from RTC:

ALL GUESTS, including Active Duty/Retired Military Personnel and those ages 3 and older must be on the access list.  Children 2 and under do not need to be on the access list. Please coordinate with the recruit as only recruits may place names on the list.  RTC staff can neither change these names nor release the names of those on the list.

12 or less divisions within the training group: FOUR guest maximum per recruit.

13 or more divisions within the training group: THREE guest maximum per recruit

Individuals not on the access list will NOT be able to enter the drill hall and we do NOT have a standby list.  In addition please plan on arriving at least 1.5 hours before the ceremony, which begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.

    TG 17 - 10 Divisions (105-112, 916 and 917) Graduate Friday, Mar. 8, 2013.   Each recruit will be permitted 4 guests

Yes will be attending PIR. My son's name is Cameron. From what I understood 916 is Ship Staff/Honor Guard but still part of the performing divisions http://www.navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms/page/900-divisions
