Hi figured id come here and ask the NavyDads for some advice being that I dont have one to goto for some...
im 26...I ship out in 16 days or so.... i do the 1.5 mile run in 12-13 minutes outdoors in the sun basically uphill lol...at my age i believe they need 14 out of me though
80+ pushups and situps in 2 minutes
got the creed the general orders...anchors away...all ships and aircraft...watchstanding...first aid and firefighting(firefighter emt school under my belt) ucmj articals...naval history ....full definitions for honor courage and commitment all verbatum...
im still nervous and feeling unsettled for some reason like im not prepared... any advice for a 26 yr old future sailor to succeed among these 18 yr old young bucks?
anything im missing? anything i should prepare extra for in the next few days before i ship?
( i also have managment experience managing over 100 people)
thanks in advance!

You should be just about ready to ship....It sounds as though you have been preparing for this for a long time! Now...run with it son! I wish you the best of luck in your pursuits!!!
well i want to be based out of japan :)
Fleets are based on geographical locations...as a ship moves around the globe it moves from one fleet's area of responsibility to another fleets.....

thankyou .... im going for fire controlman... aecf... i wanted cti but my credit score didnt get me the clearance... ive done the pqs and my goal is to leave bootcamp an e3 so im eager to earn a leadership position... im the c.o. in the dep program so i try and instill teamwork and confidence in these young guys and girls but alot of them dont practice the 6 p's very well... I hope that as long as I can help those around me in bootcamp and spread my knowledge while keeping an open mind and following as well as leading the rdc's will bump me up :) also i want 7th fleet ! bad....

concentrate on details.....when they say a crease at 1" from so-and-so....they MEAN 1" from so-and-so......
the biggest thing to remember it's a mind game...do what your told....help your shipmates master their skills and enjoy the experience..............
