  • It was Cabelas they usually don't have a problem with FPO addresses.  A little research and USPS won't ship knives.  I did have them ship it to me and I'll label it tools instead of knife. I asked my son and he hadn't heard anything about not having a pocket knife, and it seems most are caring something.  If there are rules against it, they probably turn a blind eye unless it's obviously a pig sticker.

    Thanks

  • Jonathan, Is a Leather Man a knife? Some vendors have rules about shipments and destinations and there are companies that won't ship "weapons". For example, Fed Ex seems to be the only ones that will ship firearms. Maybe you will have to have it shipped to you first and then you ship it. The vendor may not guarantee a shipment to a Foreign Post Office or they may not ship something like that. I don't know all the Navy rules but I think any kind of "weapon" seems to be a problem. Maybe someone else knows more. There seems to be a lot of desire to ship knives so maybe someone can find out the Navy's position on that.

  • what is the rest of the story......were you having a merchant send it?  Many will not send packages to APO/FPO addresses.....
