Probably depends on how far you are from RTC. Should be any time now. I should also tell you that the new recruits have the opportunity to donate all their clothes to a local charity. I have heard of some kids going to boot with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Hang in there guys. It gets better. First you will recieve the "kid in the box." It's everything he took with him he won't need. Then in a few days after that you will recieve a form letter. Be sure to hold on to that. It will have all the information you will need for PIR.
My wife and I are doing pretty good. We miss him of course but are so proud of his decision. He was so excited to join and start his journey it's tough to be upset. We'll do the same as far as forwarding any information I'm always here if you need anything.
How you holding up. My wife and i are a little depressed at the moment. I am sure its more us then him. If i find anything out or receive anything i will let you know. We are so proud of him words can't explain. Thanks for reaching out.
