Son Signed today for CTI

Hello all and thanks for the quick support as soon as I signed on.  I just want to start by saying what a proud day today was.  My son, Chris, has been going through the enlistment process for the past year........ waivers, expired waivers, and more waivers.  Such an extremely stressful situation but I am proud he stuck with it and didn't give up.  I am also very thankful to his recruiter, as he was extremely helpful, honest and never gave up on my my son.  Today was the day he finally got to take his DLAB and sign his contract for CTI. He ships out on Dec. 6th so I have a little while before I stress again.  It was so much easier when I shipped off than I know it will be watching my son ship out.  Ill be leaning on all of you, so thank you all again in advance.

  • Be patient Chris. I'm sure that everything will be done by the time he needs it. Many things will be going on that you are not privy to....get used to it. There will be a lot that your Son won't be able to share with you....

  • Congratulations! This is what I originally wanted to go for (I am not a parent of a sailor, I am the future sailor), but since I am not a citizen I couldn't even take the dlab and am very curious if I would pass. Anyway... Does he know what language he will be studying or do they decide that later on?
