Stranded in DC

We're not getting to PIR because all transit from our area is cancelled; we're stuck at the train station with no way to get home. I hope word is given to our Sailor. We're OK just bummed out.

  • So sorry to hear you will miss your sailors PIR. Great news is that you should get a DVD of your sailors graduation ceremony (PIR) in a month or so, and you will cherish it! I hope you are able to get someone to take some pics for you there. I pray you get home safe!!
  • Sorry Steve. Maybe you can visit your sailor at A School. This weather has screwed a lot of things up, to be sure.
  • So sorry for you and your family. I can understand your feelings and being "bummed out" is probably putting it lightly. Given the current weather situation, I'm sure that your Sailor understands the circumstances. For what it's worth, you aren't the only one in that situation. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, and your Sailor. I certainly hope that you can find a way to see your Sailor sometime in the near future and have a belated celebration!

    Steve,

My wife was just saying this morning that she said a little prayer for the parents heading to graduation this Friday. Between the Earthquake! "you've got to be kidding me, in Chicago?" & all of the snow, she was afraid of what your writing. I'm sure your Sailor will understand and I hope ya'll make it back home safely. Keep us posted on how this go's.
