I know I am jumping the gun here, as my boy leaves for basic tomorrow. However he WILL be heading to Sub School right after, then to 1 year of training in Groton CT.
So 3 things.
1.What can he expect in Sub School?
2. transportation issues on base? As he will be there for a year, I thought about getting him a cheap car to use. Then I thought "CAN he have a car on base? If so, When he leaves I can bring the car back to Michigan for one of his 6 siblings to use.
OR
Is there readily available transportation for the recruits?
3. anyone able to tell me what the housing is like there for the young single guys? Barack style? Or apartment style?
