    We have started sending him letters.  Hope he is doing 'ok'.  My comfort is that I am not the only parent who feels this way.  ;)

    Sorry to hear that you did not hear from your son/daughter on Thanksgiving. It makes the holiday difficult, as a parent.
    My son was sworn in on the 23rd, I did not hear from him either. They are probably so busy with training, etc. that they just did not have the time to call. My SR son is in GL, Ship 04 Div 805. I just received his box and form letter yesterday. I do not expect to hear from him for another week or so. However, my wife and I are still going to send 'Thinking of you' and
    'Encouragement' cards and letters to him.
    Just hang in there, you'll get word soon.
