I have signed up for a TC in August out of NS Mayport. Have many little details worked out, staying at Jacksonville airport night before, leaving vehicle there. Main question is will a cab be able to pass the security gate, and drop me at port, or, will it be a walk from the gate? Any feedback would be appreciated....

I just finished a Tiger Cruise in June. This is an experience to be enjoyed! Take advantage of any activities that are offered to you.
Your sailor and his command should be keeping you informed about about the how and where. I would bet that Paul's comment below is right on the money. Be at the USO during the times you are given and you will be bused to the ship. Do not depend on a cab.
