Our son is Ship 13 Div 314, Does anyone else have someone in that group? We'll be making travel plans soon for graduation, He's going on his 3d week and we missed a call home over the weekend, that was tough!
Thank you, Proud Navy Dad!

My son is in that group, i also missed his call over the weekend. I did get a call from him yesterday he sounds good and seems everyone is doing well... Possible graduation is Oct. 03..
William, Our son's PIR is Oct. 3d, We did get a long letter home and it sounds like he is doing well, misses his Mom's cooking. He said there is alot of yelling that takes place, my favorite part, he said that he does alot of folding and storing of uniforms/clothes, something we always struggled to get him to do.
Thank you all for the notes back, in a small way it's comforting sharing with those that have loved ones in the same division.

My son is in that group. He called his girlfriend on saturday but it was short. He got to call last week and talked to his mom for almost 30 minutes. I haven't talked to him since was at O'hare airport getting ready to check in with the navy laison. I got a letter in the mail today. He is doing well and adjusting well. The food is ok but the beds are hard and short. He is about 6'2" so I think the rack might be short to sleep in. He is really excited to be finally training. I can't wait for October 3. I be in the stand cheering loudly as the those fresh new sailors come marching into the drill hall.
My son is in 13 but Div 324..whats your PIR date?
Thats Great! Thank you for the heads up on mail, We were thinking we should have heard from him by now. We did get a message from his recruiter, he had talked with our son and said he's doing Good! He is our 3d of 5 and the first to really leave home, quite an experience for us as all!

David, my son Chase is in that division. We just booked our travel. I am sorry you missed that phone call. We heard from Chase on Saturday. Seems to be going good. First few weeks is always the toughest. I hope to get some letters this week as they were able to write on Sunday from what I gather. Hang in there hope they get to call again soon.
