My son called last night saying he failed his run for his final PFA and not to attend Graduation on Friday. Supposedly he is taking it again on Wednesday If he passes he will call and let us know? Also does he need to pass his PFA in order to participate in battlestations-21 with his division? I am not sure when his division is scheduled for Battlestations-21.
What happens if he doesnt pass his PFA on Wednesday? Will he be pushed back a week or 2? Will he graduate with another division or will he go right on to A school? His A school is in Great Lakes.
I dont have plane tickets but I do have hotel reservations I dont know what to do with. I have to cancel them before noon tomorrow but I am not sure what time I will get a call if he passes.
I feel like we are sitting in Limbo at the moment.

Thanks! I will let you know!
Some more info for you from a previous post...
I got some "partial comments" info (posted today) below off of the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command facebook public site - http://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand A parent posted a similar experience but with her daughter regarding PFA:
Parent Question: "RTC, what happens if they do not pass the PFA and are put in a "holding" group. She said that she gets to try again on Wednesday, but her scheduled PIR is Thursday. If I come there, and she did not pass, will I be informed ahead of time or do I have to wait for the ceremony to find out? And will I get to see her or spend any time with her? I am in limbo and not sure where to turn."
U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command: "She will not get another phone call until she passes her PFA and Battle Stations. If you do not hear from her, that means she did not pass. If she passes both by Thursday, then she will graduate on time. If she doesn't, she will remain in the FIT division where instructors are working with her and other recruits solely on helping them to pass their PFA.
If you arrive and she still has not passed, you would have to check with the Public Affairs Office the morning of graduation to see if a visit would be granted. If one is approved, it would be for two hours at a specific time that same day and she must stay in a designated meeting room in the visitors center."
U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command: "Think positive thoughts and envision her passing her run! The instructors are wonderful that work with the recruits. They truly do want to see them succeed and actually run alongside the recruits to help motivate them during the run."
This happens more than you might think....we are all rooting for him....Let us know how he makes out!
That is what I am afraid of.....
I don't think that he can do Battle Stations until he passes his PFA. Hopefully he can let you know what happens on Wednesday given the circumstances. Should he not pass, he will be placed in FIT. RDCs will work with him practicing until he passes. He will then take BS-21. From there he will go right to his A School. Unfortunately, you are kind of in limbo for the time being!
