this is just fyi my son Brian was wrongfully discharged friday. He was an outstanding sailor but due to the rush to judgement by the chief, the xo and the new co he didn't stand a chance. there was a complete turnover of personnel and he had no one to stand up for him . he didn't do what he was charged with gun deckin but those that saw him performing the duty kept quiet and did not come forward . this included his chief and the officer of the day. his goal was to become an officer and was extremely proud to have served his country for 4 years. i pray that your son or daughter will not be railroaded and humilliated and persecuted as my son was . he said to the 80% of those that didn't support him have a nice day, to the 20% who cared and supported him he was proud to call them sailors . he is a great kid and would have made an outstanding officer . if the current command would have still have been there this would have never happened , as he had just gotten a medal for outstanding work prior to their rotating out . i am sending this as a heads up to choose who you think you can trust very carefully. my email is lvrwmn2000@yahoo.com if they boot me for speaking out

Yes....after 10 months Deployment! She is Security attached to the Sunliners (VFA-81). She is finishing up year 4 and just picked up 2nd Class. It has been a great overall experience, but she has decided to pick up on her education and will be separating in a few months....Sorry to say.....

I'll keep my fingers crossed that he can continue in his training. I can't imagine trying to put down on a pitching deck in all kinds of weather in day or night operations....that is why a Carrier Flight deck is considered the most dangerous job in the World! My daughter is currently serving aboard the Vinson.
I apologize for the grammatical errors here unfortunately the speech to text engine on this apparently does not work well lol

hi Tom, thanks for the reply I appreciate the feedback. I understand the value of action that was taken here and certainly can appreciate the lives of others concerning that's but what I don't understand is the decision of the regulatory administration groups of no flight. I guess it still up to the skipper an admiral as to what they're going to do but I'm confused by this decision. I would think they would move him to another group lambaste land-basedor otherwise. Thanks for Certaintly keeping our fingers crossed and hoping for the best I'll come here. I doubt that they will give him a third try but thats always possible.

This is not a punishment.....there is no room for error for a carrier landing! Your Son's life and the lives of the deck crew are endangered in a potential accident. Is it possible for him to switch to another aircraft specialty that is "ground-based"? I hope that his flight career is not over and wish him the best of luck!
