Yes, yes, yes!!!

I finally got the first letter in the mail! Unfortunately, this past Saturday, my sons recruiter gave me an address that was incorrect, and I already sent out a letter. O well, it's no biggie. I am just so happy that he is ok. He said that basic is so cool. He said it is just like the videos that I keep on watching on navydads.com. He laughed because everytime he saw me, I was watching videos. He thought it would be nothing like the videos. He did not want to watch them because he thought it would be much harder, and he thought that I was going to be disappointed. So, in his small paragraph, he stated "it's just like the videos you were glued to watching Pops, ha-ha". This made my week. Pops is always right, ha-ha. God I am so relieved, he actually thinks it's cool! Sail away my son, sail away.....................

    Eddie Congrats!

receiving letters and phone calls really do get us through to the next. Glad to hear he's doing well and liking boot. As a dad, it's always good to be right! LOL My son was the same. As I would research and learn about his rate and then would tell him about something he would do or see he would always tell me I was crazy or no way, etc. In the end he would always say "well, dad you were right". That's been the beauty of NavyDads. If you research, read older post, or ask the questions you can find out what your son will be doing before he does. Gotta love it!
