Oath of Enlistment

Greetings! I'm new to this group. My background is Army. Lots of questions today:

My daughter just returned from MEPS and is awaiting the selection of her MOS (or whatever the Navy equivalent of an MOS is).

She asked my the other day if I would administer the oath of enlistment. Wow! What an honor she has bestowed on me! I have done this many times for other enlisted personnel, but since I have been discharged, I really don't know if this is permissible.

For what it's worth, although I have my DD 214, I never resigned my commission. Am I able to do this? And may I legitimately wear my uniform (assuming it still fits)? Obviously I would need special permission to do this. Where might I obtain this permission? The uniform has undergone a few changes since I left the service in November of 1999, and there have been many changes, so not everything is authorized. Would it be best to forget this idea? Oath will be administered at a nearby Army installation per her recruiter.

Last question: When I sign her DD 4, may I legitimately use my rank? I did not retire, but again, did not resign my commission. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
