Anyone have a SR in Ship 04/Div 341?

Hello all. My son had knee issues that required therapy, preceded by having a wisdom tooth removed. He was just allowed the 2 minute phone call to let us know what was going on.

So he has been reassigned to ship 04 div 341 (1 week delay). Anybody out there also have a SR in that S/D?

  • Got it thanks.

  • 800 divisions are SEAL/Spec Ops divisions...these demand a higher level of OPSEC than any other divisions---my warning to ANYONE with a sailor in a 800 division:

SEAL training takes security to a high note...we would prefer that you NOT post your last name on your page if you use your son's first name. You'll hear from one of our members Grandpa273 on this as well.

It's your option, but to be safe, I would edit your profile (click SETTINGS in the upper right hand area of the page), not display your last name and change your son's name on your profile to something like his initial....the less ways anyone can identify a SEAL the better.  Be sure click SAVE at the bottom of the Edit Profile page to save your changes.

  • My son is in 04/821. No letters yet. Kind of bummed out about that but I understand the Navy's ways. My understanding is that the 800 divisions are a little different so maybe that is why no letters yet. Anyone have any info on the 800 divisions?

  • Jack,

My son is in 04/341. We received the first letter last week.Today marks the end of his 3rd full week of boot camp.

It sounds like he is adapting. To his surprise he said the food was "good" With a little bit of Irish humor he said the instructors love him.........their always screaming in his face LOL.

October 14th is the ship/division PIR date. My wife and I really miss him and can't wait to Chicago.

    Best,

    Paul
