We finally got a call from my son. His PIR is 12/21. He mentioned that he could possibly get 10 days of leave after. He has to submit an itinerary and his flights would be covered by the Navy. Does anyone know how this works?

I think your son misunderstood what he was told, other than PCS orders or Emergency Leave its up to the sailor to pay for their transportation costs.
