Fire arms

My son Tyler was trying for expert.  They asked those recruits that want to try for expert to shoot left handed. He crossed his thumbs & the slide cut his thumb open.  He did not get to finish.  He said he shot good enough with his right hand to qualify, but did not get a ribbon.  Will he be able to try again for a ribbon?  He has been doing great at boot camp.  He is a section leader & will be piping the officers @ the PIR.  I am very proud of him!

They can qualify for a pistol badge after boot camp but they have to pay to use the range. If you get cuts from the weapon that is not expert regardless of how many 10's you shoot. Think about it.
  • My son is right handed but has always shot left handed. I have tried many times to get him to change because he can outshoot me lefty.
